Friends,
I hope you all are doing well. We recently kicked off our series of Saturday shows here at the Hall of Fame. Our first show was a huge success! We kicked off the season with our newest Artists in Residence “Kentucky Just Us”. Their talent far surpasses their age, and what nice humble people they are. I am looking forward to building the relationship with them and the Hall of Fame this year. We will be continuing our shows this Saturday with Steve Bonafel & One Iota. I come to know Steve by a mutual friend of ours named Tommy Baldwin. Steve is a wonderfully talented singer and songwriter, having won many awards in his years in the music business. Steve has even asked me to play a few tunes with him on my banjo, and I am greatly humbled by the offer. I encourage you all to come out on March 10th at 3:00 PM Eastern Time to the show here at the Hall of Fame.
We are continuing to improve our shows, and in light of this we recognize we do need to make some immediate upgrades. First and foremost are our chairs. We want to be able to provide our customers with nice padded seating at the shows verses the chairs we have now which have no padding. This upgrade will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000, and we are working to make this happen soon. There are several other improvements that we will list a little later in the season that will improve our shows and the Hall of Fame.
Lastly, don’t forget about our weekly gospel show. We call it the “Ol’ Home Place Gospel Hour”. This show is always free and never fails to entertain our guests with some of the best local music around. We have such a hugely talented amount of people in our local area and we love to showcase their talents on our stages whenever we have the chance. Please make plans to attend this show on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Charles Saylor and I emcee the show, and Charles always provides a little bit of comedy to the show.
I thank each and every one of you for the continued support of the Hall of Fame and I look forward to meeting each of you soon.
